Sawpod
Having spent numerous hours myself experimenting with various ways of attaching my handsaw to my leg, when someone finally solved the problem on my behalf I was first in line to try one out!
The sawpod itself is an incredibly simple design which does exactly what it says it does. its comfortable to wear and quick on and off. My first sawpod lasted just over a year, 
and even then replacing the straps would have sufficed.
The only real problem with the first run of the sawpod was the buckles for attaching the velcro straps. Quite a few users reported problems with the buckle not holding its position. i also had this problem but didnt feel it was reason enough to discard it.
After receiving my new sawpod a few days ago i was happy to see this problem has been rectified with a new area of stitching around the buckle. The sawpod buckles now stay in place from the start of your climb till the end.
Using the saw mounted on the leg itself is obviously a personal preference. From a personal viewpoint the saw is always in the same position for me. Unlike having a saw hanging from a sheath on your harness it is never upside down(except for the most exteme positions) meaning losing your saw during the climb is drastically reduced. I find it particularly helpful when using a curved blade, knowing the scabbard will always be pointing the right way. As far as mounting the saw to the leg, I think the sawpod is the best option currently available.
All in all a big thumbs up from me and I would recommend it to anyone

As I’ve often said before, I’d rather be without my left bollock than without my Sawpod!
Not many people try one then go back to slinging their Silky from their harness.
The only thing I would add is a security strap to stop the saw sheath slipping down so the top is slightly below the velcro, so you can nick the velcro strap when re-sheathing.
